Peter Kador, PhD

Peter F. Kador is an expert on age related ocular and diabetic complications. After a 25-year career at the National Eye Institute, NIH he retired as Chief of the Laboratory of Ocular Therapeutics and then served as a Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for 18 years. Currently he is an Adjunct Professor in Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.  He founded Therapeutic Vision, Inc. and under a US FDA MUMS designation is developing anti-cataract agents. His work is internationally recognized with numerous awards which include being a follow of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Association of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.  He is President of the National Foundation for Eye Research and has served as President of the Association for Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics. He has organized or co-organized over 30 national and international workshops and conferences that include diabetic complication / ocular pharmacology / lens / cataract conferences.
