Kate Bergamo

Kate has more than 30 years of diverse work experience in medicine. She has worked in NY and NC as a nurse practitioner, researcher, educator, consultant and hospital administrator within public and private sectors. Her areas of expertise include pharma sales, salesforce education and training, gyn oncology and diabetes research, adult and pediatric trauma, school health management as well as hospital administration as a Chief Nursing Officer.

Her most recent endeavor was at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Over the last 10 years, Kate’s focus has been in managing diabetes patients, conducting cutting edge diabetes research and is published twice in JAMA. She also had dual faculty appointments at UNC in the School of Medicine and School of Allied Health Sciences where she developed the endocrinology curriculum and taught students in the PA program at UNC.

Kate received her bachelor’s of science in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her master’s degree in nursing and hospital finance from the University of Phoenix and nurse practitioner degree as an FNP from Binghamton University. She attended the Wharton School for her certificate in Nursing Administration.
