Dr. Natalia Borinshteyn is a biopharmaceutical executive, dermatologist, and immunologist with more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Portfolio Strategy, Launch Excellence, and Commercial Strategy. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to advancing innovative therapies and helping bring transformative treatments to patients. Her experience combines deep scientific expertise with strategic business leadership across the full product lifecycle.

Dr. Borinshteyn brings a unique combination of medical, scientific, and commercial expertise gained through senior leadership roles at Sanofi, AbbVie, and Life Science Excellence, Inc. (LEX). She has contributed to the development, launch, and lifecycle management of multiple innovative therapies and has played key roles in more than seven successful product launches and commercialization efforts. Her areas of expertise include dermatology, immunology, allergy, inflammation, metabolic disease, rare diseases. As Founder and President of Life Science Excellence, Inc., a boutique life sciences consulting firm, she advises pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies on strategic initiatives including clinical development strategy, medical affairs planning, launch readiness, scientific communications, evidence generation, patient-centricity initiatives, real-world evidence (RWE), organizational effectiveness, and medical-commercial integration.

Prior to founding LEX, Dr. Borinshteyn served as Vice President, Global Hepatitis C Launch Team at AbbVie, where she led Global and U.S. Medical Affairs launch planning and execution for AbbVie’s HCV franchise. Her responsibilities included launch strategy development, scientific communication platforms, medical education, evidence planning, and cross-functional execution.

Previously, during an 18-year career at Sanofi and its predecessor organizations, Dr. Borinshteyn held leadership positions across global, U.S., and international operations. She played key roles in the successful development, launch, and lifecycle management of innovative therapies and contributed to long-term portfolio strategy and business development evaluations including due diligence support that helped guide R&D investment decisions and corporate growth.

A board-certified dermatologist by training, Dr. Borinshteyn has particular expertise in dermatology, immunology, allergy, and inflammatory diseases. She previously led Medical Affairs and physician training initiatives for Sanofi’s dermatology business, including the development of a nationally recognized hands-on physician education program for dermatologists and plastic surgeons that received the Diamond Award from the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Borinshteyn earned her MD degree from the Russian State Medical University, completed residency training in dermatology, and earned a PhD focused on immunologic mechanisms in atopic dermatitis with dual degree in allergy and immunology. She received her business education at The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and Harvard Business School.

Dr. Borinshteyn is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
