David Maggs is a life science industry executive and physician who has over 30 years of academic and industry experience. He first graduated from Guys Hospital (London, UK), completed postgraduate studies at University of Nottingham (UK), and held fellowship and faculty appointments at Yale School of Medicine (New Haven, CT). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London, UK) and a Yale School of Medicine Founders Entrepreneur. His clinical, academic and industry background is founded in endocrinology and cardiometabolic disease, spanning rare disease through to major population level diseases. During his industry journey, he held leadership positions at Warner Lambert, Pfizer, Amylin Pharmaceuticals and Becton Dickinson, where he successfully advanced products in drug, device and regenerative medicine intervention areas from early-stage ideation and proof, to later regulatory body approval and commercialization. He is currently operating as both a consultant and fractional C-Suite executive working with assets in the field of cardiometabolic disease.
