Alexander Klonoff, MD, MBA

Dr. Klonoff is a physician with regulatory, research, digital health, and clinical practice experience. He has prior experience working at FDA in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health. Dr. Klonoff maintains his clinical practice of medicine as an internist in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Dr. Klonoff has research experience with a wide variety of medical devices and technologies, including glucose monitoring systems, insulin pens, bioinformatics, telehealth, accelerometry for measuring energy expenditure, and diagnostic laboratory tests.

Dr. Klonoff serves on the executive board of the Metro Los Angeles IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) section, which brings together industry and academic leaders from institutions across Los Angeles County, including USC, UCLA, Caltech, and NASA/JPL, to foster collaboration and innovation in healthcare technology.

Dr. Klonoff earned his bachelor’s, MD, and MBA degrees at University of Southern California. He completed internship and residency training in internal medicine at USC/LAC+USC Medical Center.
